Media Skills
If your
organisation ever needs to have contact with the media then it is important that
you know exactly what to say, how to say it and be sure that your message is
presented in a professional manner.
Who Should Attend?
Anyone who needs to
deal with the media, whether talking to the press over the telephone, face to
face with a journalist, issuing a press release or being interviewed on radio
and television.
Pre Course Activity
Each delegate
should bring an outline of a particular story or message about their
organisation that could potentially be released to the media.

The Venue
Each workshop takes
place in the purpose built television studios on the Birmingham University
Campus. Each workshop will be strictly limited to ten people. The workshop is
managed by Chameleon Training, hosted by the University Studio and delivered by
a current member of the Sky News team and a freelance journalist. The dates are
determined by demand as it is important that exactly ten people attend.
This is a one day
highly practical workshop delivered by media professionals designed to stimulate
real learning through experience in a safe environment.
